Matt began playing
professionally in 1981. Between 1982 and 1997 Matt either lead , or
performed with, some of Denver’s most popular bands including Inner
City, The Legendary 4-Nikators, Johnny and the Sunsets, Sax Fifth
Avenue, Traffic Jam, The Colorado Band, Asteva, and Latitude.
Matt
has opened for Jay Leno, Kilaminjaro, and Little Richard and has
traveled internationally playing music. Matt’s musical influences
include Grover Washington, Ronnie Laws, Tom Scott, Sonny Stitt, John
Coltrane, Cannonball Adderley, Charlie Parker, Dextor Gordon, Chick
Corea, Wayne Shorter, and Michael Brecker.
